Workshop on Public Private Partnerships for e-Transformation

The Workshop will be held on Wednesday, June 2nd, between 4:00 pm -6:00 pm, at the World Bank Office in Chisinau, 20/1, Puskin St.

This two hour workshop is designed to present examples of Public Private Partnership arrangements for provision of the government services and their possible applicability to Moldova’s environment. The participants will be presented with case studies of PPP type arrangements for e-government applications and services, factors for success and lessons learned. The workshop will be structured as a two way discussion with multiple opportunities to ask questions.

The speaker, Mr. Randeep Sudan, who is a Lead ICT Policy Specialist at the Global ICT Department of the World Bank, will lead this workshop. He will present a few cases of successful PPP arrangements from around the world, including in the United States, India, Bhutan and Ghana. He will concentrate on the specifics of Ghana PPP project for revenue generating agencies where the government of Ghana leveraged World Bank funds to attract substantial private sector investment.
