Consultation Seminar with key ICT stakeholders to determine top research priorities

Consultation Seminar with key ICT stakeholders will be held on May 18  to determine top ICT research priorities.

In order to enhance and strengthen scientific and technical cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) between Eastern Europe and Southern Caucasus (EECS) and the European Union, a Consultation Seminar will take on May 18, 2010 in the framework of the FP7 project EXTEND.

The purpose of this event is bringing together for consultation key actors in the ICT sector in Moldova, including: policy makers, representatives of academia, research and innovation organizations, profit and non-profit enterprises, ICT industry actors and other ICT sector representatives.

Following the consultations, recommendations on future ICT research priorities between EU and EECS countries will be developed. EXTEND will organize a series of consultation workshops in the following countries: Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Armenia, Georgia.

The event will take place at the Central Scientific Library "A.Lupan", 5A Academiei str, starting at 08:00. This Consultation Seminar is part of the annual ICT Week in Moldova, taking place 17-23 May 2010.
